Spirit of Yosemite

As Mom said, we are fortunate in this country to have had people who preserved and protected the land so that we could have wondrous national parks. There aren't enough superlative adjectives to describe the splendor and spirit of Yosemite National Park, so I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Stephen went in to the park early this morning to take photos at sunrise, and they are outstanding

El Capitan
Royal Arches

The rest of us joined Stephen later in the morning. We toured the visitor center, and went on an open-air tram tour across the valley floor.

Half Dome and the Royal Arches from Glacier Point

From the valley floor to Glacier Point, it has been an incredible day. And now, one more stop, San Francisco!
